Column
-Diameter: Diameter of the column.
-Height: Height of the column.
-Quantity: Number of columns this same size.
-Waste: Percent to add to the exact quantity to cover any waste.
-Concrete: Total volume needed for this column.

Vertical Rebar
-Pieces/Column: Number of rebar pieces to be installed in each column.
-Length: Length of each rebar to be placed in this installation.
-Lap: Amount one piece of rebar will overlap another piece. This is usually specified by an Engineer on the construction documents
-Cover: Space between the end of the rebar and the surface of the concrete. Usually specified on the plans.
-Size: Rebar size.
-#Pieces: Total number of pieces.
-Weight [lbs]: Total weight of rebar.
Rebar Tie
-Length: Length of each rebar tie.
-Wrap Length: Length of the tie that wraps around the vertical rebars.
-Spacing: On-center spacing of the ties.
-Size: Rebar size.
-#Pieces: Number of rebar ties needed.
-Weight [lbs]: Total weight of rebar tie.
Examples
Estimate the materials to be used for constructing 10 columns that are each 50ft 8in in height, 5ft 6in in diameter. Each column will have 12 pieces of #5 rebar tied with #3 bar, 4ft in length. The cover for the columns is 6in and the bars will be tied every 5ft. Standard 20ft length rebar will be purchased for both vertical bars and the tie materials.
