Calculates the cost to operate an appliance per hour. Input the voltage of the appliance, the power consumed and the cost of electricity per kilowatt-hour based on rates of local electric power supplier and the cost to operate the appliance is calculated.
NOTE: Electricity cost varies widely by region and by power supplier. If unsure of costs, estimate based on the average cost of 14 cents per kilowatt-hour. The range in price per kilowatt hour generally starts at about 9 cents but can go as high as 25 cents per kilowatt hour.
