Weight to refill a propane tank. All measurements assumed to be pounds.

Rows

Tare Weight - Your propane cylinder will be stamped with the letters TW or T followed by a number. If the cylinder is Metric, the number indicates the empty cylinder weight in kilograms, if not then the number indicates the weight in pounds.
Water Content - Your propane cylinder will be stamped with the letters WC followed by a number. This number represents the total weight of water that the cylinder would be able to hold. If the cylinder is Metric, then this number is kilograms, if not then it is pounds.
Nozzle Weight - When filling your cylinder with a scale, the attendant will attach a nozzle to your cylinder. The weight of this nozzle must be accounted for or you will be paying for it!
Propane Weight is the total weight of propane that should be placed in your tank. It is calculated as 42% of the Water Content value.
Total Weight is the combined weight of the tank, product and nozzle as it sits on the scale when full. To double check a filled tank, disconnect the nozzle and reweigh the tank. The weight should be the Total Weight shown here less the Nozzle Weight.
