Help
Calculates discount rates, customer sale prices, partner costs, and margins based on Cisco's partner-led sales model. Can calculate customer and partner discounts based on desired sale price, margins, or partner-points.

Usage Notes
If you need to change the list price for a deal, then please touch 'New' before entering the new list price. This will reset the calculator back to it's default values, and will automate the calculations as you enter the updated values.
When you initially enter values into the calculator, the other fields are automatically updated based on your inputed information. When changing a value that you either previously entered or that the calculator automatically calculated for you, it may be necessary to tap the equals sign next to a corresponding field that you want to be updated (manual calculation).
Note that changing some fields will require you to select which other field you want to update based on the adjusted value. For example, changing "Margin" requires that you select which discount (customer/partner) you want to be adjusted due to the change in margin.
Deal Calculator
- List Price: Total list (retail) price of product or services for a sale.
- Customer Discount %: Customer's discount rate, or percentage off the list price.
- Customer Price: Customer sale price.
- Partner Discount %: Partner's discount rate, or percentage off the list price.
- Partner Cost: Cost of the product/services to the partner.
- Partner Points %: Difference between the customer's discount and the partner's discount, or the "points" being passed to the partner.
- Margin: The partner's margin on the deal, or the gross profit compared to the customer's sale price.
- Gross Profit: The difference between the customer's sale price and the partner's cost.
Seed Calculator
Occasionally the Cisco account manager, working with a partner, may want to "seed" some products or services into an account so as to allow the customer to begin to use a Cisco technology in their environment. The goal is to plant a seed in the account that will then grow to generate additional business in the future.
This is done by passing additional discount points to the partner to cover the cost of the additional products/services being seeded into the account. The end result is that the partners cost for the sale, and the customer's price, remain unchanged by the additional products/services. The customer's discounts will remain unchanged on the partner's invoice, and the seeded products will be shown as no cost ($0.00) to the customer.
Rows:
- Original List Price (Tap the equals, if needed, to transfer the value from above)
- Original Partner Discount % (Tap the equals, if needed, to transfer the value from above)
- Seed List Price: The list price of the products/services to the seeded into the deal.
- Additional Discount %: The additional discount needed to cover the costs of the seeded products/services.
- New List Price: The adjusted list price of the deal that includes both the original and seeded products/services.
- New Partner Discount %: The new partner discount for the deal, adjusted to cover the seeded products/services.
- Partner Cost: Shown to illustrate that the partner's costs remain unchanged.
Note that this also works in reverse. You can enter how many additional points are available for seeding, and the calculator will calculate the list price of the products/services that can be seeding into this deal.
Cisco Capitol Leasing
This is a simple TVM calculator to be used to calculate the monthly payment for a deal given the specifics of the leasing vehicle being used. As with other TVM calculators, positive values represent incoming cash flows and negative values represent outgoing cash flows.
Rows:
- Amount Financed (Tap the equals, if needed, to transfer the Customer Price from above)
- Lease Rate: The interest rate for the lease.
- Term [months]
- Buy-Out / FV: Buy-out or future value of the lease. The amount that must be paid at the end of the lease to purchase the equipment (capital leases), or the estimated depreciated value of the equipment to be returned at the end of the lease (OPEX leases).
- Monthly Payment: The customer's calculated monthly payment for the lease.
