Help
Many rotating equipment specifications put a cap on impeller tip speed.
Impeller tip speed=impeller radius*angular velocity. Using impeller diameter and RPM,
Angular velocity=2*3.14159*RPM/60 to get revolutions/second.
Radius=Diameter in MM divided by1000 to get meters, and then divided by 2 to get radius.
So the whole equation is
TipSpeedMetersperSecond=
(2*3.14159*RPM/60)*(Diametermm/(2*1000))

Examples
An 864mm impeller turning at 1490RPM would have a tip speed of 67.4 meters per second and 221.1 feet per second.
